Lessons From the Eagles: Secret Code to Success

Eagles are some of the largest birds in the world. Usually, they symbolise strength, freedom and rulership.

They are one of the few aves many humans always try to emulate in character. I have made my observations and I have come to the conclusion that imbibing certain characteristics of eagles can help a man lead a life of continuous success.

PERSEVERANCE

Every eagle was once an eaglet, but through a painful process of growth, the Eagle broke through into its adulthood.

We can categorically determine that this bird persevered and went through the storms, broke limitations and beat the winds of the air to become the mighty animal it is known as today.

Just like an Eagle, you might have been experiencing barrages of failures, disappointments or continuous problems that have been designed to impede the rate of your growth and slow down your progress, don't back down. DO NOT BACK DOWN!

Persevere through every obstacle you might face and come out tops. Although the path might be rough, keep your gaze on that prize you have been looking forward to and soon enough, victory will be within your grasp.

PATIENCE

A very wise man told me that, when the Eagle is attacked by other games, it allows them to have their fun day while it takes them up high in the sky - to a level where they can no longer get oxygen and naturally, the Eagle swoops in on them and wins. 

In the same way, I write to you, be patient.

A very quick one, being patient is very different from being idle. I do not encourage us to be idle, but I encourage us to be patient. That is regardless of what is happening, you don't stop moving - even if it means you have to crawl, keep moving. 

Let your attitude of patience be accompanied with so much joy and then, you will discover that how long it takes you to reach the peak does not rub on you negatively but instead, all through that path, you have kept your happiness and joy undeterred.

As you persevere, and see obstacles or some restrictions, keep pressing on, be patient as you persevere and while waiting for your destination, wait in joy, wait while celebrating your little wins here and there. You're waiting either way, so make the features of your life beautiful by doing all you do patiently and joyfully. Being patient is what the farmer does when he plants his seeds and comes again to water it, again and again, until the time for harvest - Joy time!!!

And even when the harvest is not bountiful enough to his expectation, he does not stop farming, rather, he goes again and again and again till he gets it right. 

POISE

Poise! Here, it is joy time; it is harvest time.

We all must learn to stand in that which we have been called and we must stand well. Just like the Eagle, arrive at your destination and remain full of strength, security and care. Do not let evil triumph over good. Do not let anything or anyone change the good treasures in you. So when you arrive on pay day, you're joyful and there are so many others rejoicing with you.

They rejoice with you because on your way there, you kept joy in you, that you in turn supplied them whenever they needed it.
