In the journey of life involving realising your vision, prepping up yourself to chase that vision and successfully achieving your aim, having a good level of self-confidence in yourself is the foundation. What other factors can help you achieve your dreams easily?

In this part of Africa and probably in the world generally, no one out there gives you permission to succeed but everyone wants you to succeed. Your desire to succeed gives you a foremost advantage in the form of self-confidence but the ways to succeed hinge on three important factors.

Discover your true worth and life's purpose.

You were not created to be a matter (in the literal sense of it - occupying space and having mass). You were created with a mandate. It is your responsibility to find out what that mandate is and how to make good use of it to bless humanity.

I'll draw up an example using writing as a job. Now, your mandate could be that of writing liberating articles, poems and stories that will help your generation improve by leaps and bounds. Your duty is to realise that you could enter the entertainment industry by working as a scriptwriter or the medical field by working as a research assistant or working as a freelance blogger or journalist but the core of it all remains that by virtue of what you write, less people are getting deranged. The way to succeed easily is by discovering your purpose earlier in life which helps you as an individual in getting rid of a life of struggles and then, going further to know your true worth and operate at that level. That way, there is a sense of focus in whatever you do and you do not easily feel "caged".

The Ability to See Ahead.

Aside from discovering the reason you were born, there is a place of seeing ahead. There is a place of putting measures in place to prevent a situation where you are stranded. This helps you to consider the big picture in practically every situation; you are no longer the impulsive type because you know already that you're gonna be successful in the long run. You don't judge your situation by your current results but by what you have seen and that pushes you forward.

Take the example I cited above, that writer who knows his mandate already wouldn't feel bad if his first movie doesn't do well in the box office or if his research papers are not adapted into texts or if his blog is not visited by a large audience because he knows what he is seeing in the future. The present results do not deter him because he knows what he has seen in his future but instead, serves as a source to draw strength from.

The Ability to be Passionate About Humanity.

Now my dear, you might be asking me, "But I don't like the purpose I think I was created for" or "I'm not sure if I'm in the path of purpose".

My answer to these questions or similar ones you might have is that you don't necessarily have to do what you are passionate about, but you must ensure that you are passionate about what you do.

You are not in a place or in a job by mistake; let it be known about you that whatever you are given to do is always done excellently because this trains you in advance for the mandate you were created for.

Kill that desire to live this life solely to get money because the habit of always thinking about survival is the biggest enemy of anyone with a great destiny. Letting your passion for a better human race overflow is one of the best ways to succeed in life.
