3 Differences Between Vision and Ambition You Need to Know

Hi there! How are you today?

So, there's a common question everyone of us must have asked ourselves at one point or the other and that is, what exactly is the difference between vision and ambition.

While most people seem to think that these two words are interchangeable, there is no doubt that there is a visible difference between them.

Join me as I take you through the ground-breaking, heart-suspending and adrenaline-boosting differences between what you call your vision and your ambition!🙃🙃

1.Vision is an assignment you were born with whether or not you are aware of it. On the other hand, ambition was born out of human interference.

This seems subtle and if you aren't observant enough, you might end up mixing up your ambitions for vision. I'll describe an example now;

You want to be the greatest man that ever lived so you can trample upon your friends who are obviously sycophants. That becomes your ambition to study harder, work harder and be consistent - But remember that the purpose isn't right. In actual fact, your vision should have been to become a great man so you could lift your friends out of poverty to a level where they don't need to brown-nose others. Here, you have the same result of working hard and being consistent, but at the end, the thought with which you started out differentiates if you were driven by your ambitions or a vision you have.

2.Vision does not foster competition while ambition does.

While it might be true that human beings grade other humans. A person who walks by vision does not walk in competition; that is, he does his best and strives to beat his own results. He doesn't work by comparing his work with others; only ambitious people do that.

If you would drop ambition as a person, you must leave competition and block out the noise society is making to compare you with others and that includes when society has tagged you "the best".

3.Ambition can push a person to a point of desperation.

Desperation here means that you are ready to give up anything and anyone just to make your dreams come to pass. It includes the fact that such a person does not mind doing things illegally just to achieve a superior result.

When you notice yourself at this desperate point, understand that you're already being driven by your ambitions.

Patience is a virtue a visionary person will have.
