Understanding the Concept of Dressing As A Royal

I love this shirt, Oh and this too! Wow, the gown over there looks nice! I need to get this tie, it was designed for me!!!

One way or the other, we might have found ourselves in the scenario described above. We just want to look our best, we want to turn heads when we walk out of our door. We want to be praised like the royal family of England is praised when we go out. 

Sometimes, we want to look like our favourite celebrity or favourite doctor or favourite aunt. 

But have you ever asked yourself, "Why?"

Why do I wish to replicate the auras of these people? Why do I wish to turn heads?

Now, you don't tell me you're doing it because you love it; in this world, for every action, there must have been a suitable reason behind it.

I once asked a wise man and he told me that it was the concept of dressing as a royal that has placed this burden on us all.

Royalty means being in a state of nobility. Though not everyone out there was born into a royal family, however, everyone loves to be treated as a king!

My exposition today is for one or few of us who might have been asking ourselves the reason they need to dress as a royal.

In my article on how to maintain a great dress sense, I highlighted the fact that your appearance speaks a lot about who you are. In the same vein, you must realise that everything you put on as clothing or accessory has a message it passes across.

You might ask yourself how: I'll tell you!

1.Your clothing enable you to stand out

At the previous African Cup of Nations Football Tournament, every national football team had their unique jersey and colour combinations. This was to prevent them from being mixed up with other African countries considering the fact that everyone there was a black man.

2. Your clothing and accessories could pass messages across.

Queen Elizabeth visited former President Donald Trump while he was in office and she was seen wearing a tiara which had 96 rubies. The tiara was a wedding gift to her from the people of Burma to protect against illness and evil. Wearing that passed a solemn message across.

3.Some clothing are worn to portray traditions in a place.

Last year, at the Lagos Èyo festival, Nigeria, I noticed that some people were putting on white clothes and a hat-like structure on their heads. Evidently, they were the ones to portray the tradition of that place at such an occasion.

Therefore, as a visitor to the place, it would be eye-catching in an odd way if you appeared wearing a western suit!

In essence, after equipping yourself with a proper dress sense, go the extra mile like the royals do and confirm the type of message your dressings and accessories pass across.
